Buddy’s interface has developed slowly over the years as we’ve concentrated on adding new features users have requested. This week though, Buddy users are being migrated to our all new interface. It’s a chance to show off what the designers have been working on for the last few months and the result is a fresh new look, with a smoother, more responsive feel.
Don’t worry, your information is still there, but now it’s even faster to get to!
Over the next few days, your BuddyCRM experience will be updated to the new Buddy user interface including the new Buddy Bar. More on that below and the dozens of other small updates that will enhance your everyday experience of Buddy.
The Buddy Bar
The new Buddy Bar menu along the left hand side of the screen replaces the previous top navigation. It’s faster, more attractive and more importantly, always on screen. No more scrolling to the top!
Rollover an icon on the Buddy Bar to reveal it’s name or click the icon to move to that page. The ‘hamburger’ icon at the top slides out the menu to reveal the titles of the icons in case you forget what they mean.
New Home Screen
The four main areas (Activities, Overview, Analysis and Tables) are still available on the home screen but you can now choose to hide them if you wish by clicking the dropdown icons next to their title.
Our new Action button (shown as a big blue PLUS icon) lets you add your most frequent actions including Calls, Appointments, Tasks, New Accounts, New Leads, New Cases and Emails.
The Search bar is now front and centre at the top of the screen and you can use the drop down next to it to confine your search to just your own accounts, your team, or all records.
New Graphs and KPIs
There’s a whole new look to the Buddy graphs in the Analysis section. All your favourite KPIs and graphs are still available, while new ones have been added including opportunity funnel charts and more management data on the types of activities being undertaken by the sales team.
Plus All-New Tables
Tables have been updated to include an easier way to configure your filters. And now when you select the settings you want, they are saved automatically and remain in place until you change them.
